Abaru by Priceless brings dishes and drinks with Brazilian flavors

Brasilidade (Brazilianness), a concept that chef Onildo Rocha never gives up, guides Abaru por Priceless, a restaurant and bar that, together with Notiê, makes up Espaço Priceless, a space for multi-sensory experiences at the top of Shopping Light, in the center of São Paulo.

You can go to Abaru by Priceless for lunch, coffee, happy hour or a few drinks in the evening. At any time, you'll be surprised by two environments, indoors and outdoors, designed by set designer and art director Patrícia Sobral. From the outside, the view of the Municipal Theater is striking.

Abaru by Priceless

The name is inspired by the mixture of the painting "Abaporu", one of the masterpieces of Brazilian culture, the connection between man and the earth and the lightness of the juruviara, a small sweet-singing bird that sets the pace in the city of São Paulo.

But what really makes your eyes light up - and your mouth salivate - is the menu.

You'll be enchanted right from the start, with starters such as the green bean dumpling stuffed with sun-dried meat and the fish bait in tapioca. And the experience only gets better with the main courses, when you can try the rubacão with carne de sol and the fish with uarini flour couscous, plantain and cumaru, Amazonian curry and jambu oil.

The options include flavors discovered by Onildo throughout Brazil during his three seasons at the space. The first, Sertões - On the banks of the São Francisco River, came with a lot of sun-dried meat and green beans. The second, which paid homage to the Amazon, shows the richness of the forest with fruits such as jambu and cumaru, among other ingredients, of course. Now that Espaço is in its third season, Matas & Mares, you'll find new ingredients on the menu.

"I don't give up on bringing Brazil to our customers,'' says Onildo. "We have a lot of people producing ingredients that we know little about and I like to value that.

Brazilianness also appears in the drinks menu, with drinks such as Janhambu, with jambu cachaça, and Patativa, a cachaça that celebrates the Sertões with the presence of cashews.
